The Registration Department is the link between the student and the University on the one hand, and between colleges, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Private University Education Department, and other official or semi-official state institutions. Thus, the Department is responsible for implementing the principles and instructions issued by the Ministry of Higher Education, as it works on directing and supervising all issues related to student issues that have been completed through the registration divisions in the colleges and its branches.

The Central Registration Department was established with the establishment of the University and manages all registration divisions in the colleges, University branches, and scientific departments. The university had to adopt a significant expansion to facilitate the work of registration and acceptance at the level of examining documents, ratifications, issuance of validation procedures, granting documents and endorsements, and speed of completion within the time limit specified for this purpose. This designation is central and unified in all Iraqi universities in accordance with ministerial recommendations.

The Department contributes to the development of aspects of work at the University and in full cooperation with other people, especially the people of programming and information development, in order to facilitate procedures for students, faculty members and colleges in their departments and branches. Perhaps the most prominent contributions that the Department seeks to achieve are:

1. Enabling students to register and following up on their academic files electronically from inside and outside the University.

2. The Department endeavors to make the admission and registration procedures for students easy, fast, and uncomplicated.

3. Full cooperation with the Programming and IT department to create the necessary programs and keep pace with the electronic development at the University.

4. Providing complete information about students to activate the student's identity code, which can later complete their procedures for submitting documents and accounts electronically.

5. Activating the daily express mail between the University's Headquarter and the branches with regard to requests for support and documents for the graduate student.

6. The one-hour window, which enables the graduating student to obtain the documents smoothly and quickly, with the provision of supporting services.

Despite the great burden caused by the enormity of work, and the multiplicity of specializations in the scientific departments between the Headquarter and the branches, the creation and development of electronic programs will enable our students to devote themselves to their educational attainment, which we aspire to be at its highest levels.
